A Game To Remember For One Pirates Fan

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Some 40,000 fans packed PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates defeat the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night.

One of those who witnessed history, and was just happy to be a part of it was, Tyler, a caller to 93.7 The Fan's Colin Dunlap show.

Tyler is only 20-years-old and says he was not even supposed to be here to witness the magical moment.

Tyler told Colin that he was born with a terminal disease, and has undergone 37 surgeries.

He says he has never been a part of anything like this in his life.

"The one thing that came to my mind tonight was unity. This crowd coming together, and being as one and I've never been to anything like it," he told Colin.

"This is something I will remember for the rest of my life, it was magic," he told Dunlap.

He said being at the game was like something from a movie, so surreal, and magical.

"The unity and the happiness that this Pirates team can bring to one city, it's really amazing."
