Brookline Principal Accused of Exposing Himself Appears In Court

BROOKLINE (KDKA) -- A grade school principal, accused of a sexual encounter with a 17-year old boy, was in court Wednesday morning.

37-year old Alfonzo Deluliis of Allison Park is currently suspended from his job at Brookline Elementary School.

While the serious charge of indecent assault was dismissed, he will stand trial on several other charges.

Deluliis is accused of approaching three different guys in the sauna at a gym in McCandless.

Accusations from three men, including a 17-year, say that Deluliis exposed himself and suggested they perform sexual acts in the sauna at the LA Fitness club in McCandless.

His attorney denies it all.

"Our client, never at any time did anything improper in that health spa. Other than sit in a sauna for long periods of time and clean his body," Defense Attorney Phil DiLucente says.

While Deluliis will stand trial for indecent exposure, harassment, and corruption of a minor, the more serious charge, of indecent assault was dismissed.

Attorneys say they dropped the indecent assault charge because there was no actual testimony of physical contact, other than a tap on the shoulder and a tap on the knee.

"It wasn't a massage, it wasn't a rub. There was no indication whatsoever of any lascivious contact," DiLucente said.

But two witnesses say Deluliis exposed himself, touched himself and propositioned the two men.

Based on that, the Brookline principal is headed to trial.
