1-2 Inches Of Snow Expected Overnight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's that time of year again where the thought of snow has to be in the back of your mind.

Our first widespread snow accumulation of the season appears to be on the horizon for the western Pennsylvania region.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, rain showers will arrive during the evening rush hour and temperatures will fall to the low 40s.

Some precipitation is expected this evening, but won't likely turn into snow until about midnight, according to KDKA Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla.

Snow will total up to an inch or two in most areas, which will be enough to be troublesome for the Tuesday morning commute.

As a result, commuters should allow for extra travel time Tuesday morning.

Tuesday will turn out blustery and cold with some light snow and little or no additional accumulation with a high of 37 degrees.
