McCutchen To Be Co-Producer On New MTV2 Show

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pirates star Andrew McCutchen will be able to check one more box off of his long list of accomplishments starting next year.

According to MLB.com, both McCutchen and David Ortiz of the Red Sox will pair up to co-produce a weekly series for MTV2.

It's part of the network's plan to partner with Major League Baseball and will start out with 30 episodes, according to MLB.com.

The show will revolve around the MLB cave in New York, "spotlighting stars' personalities and passions through a series of player interviews and features, in addition to celebrity appearances," according to the article.

It's set to air in April 2014.

McCutchen is also one of three finalists for the NL MVP award, along with Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina. The winner will be announced Thursday.
