Local Couple Has Once-In-A-Lifetime Brush With Stardom

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A local couple apparently stole the some of the spotlight at a big Hollywood party this week.

With all the stars there to choose from, the Los Angeles Times wrote about Joseph and Claire Faulk of Rosslyn Farms.

Joseph Faulk won a contest from GQ Magazine and Olympus to attend GQ Magazine's West Coast Men of the Year party.

Celebrities such as Will Ferrell, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Poehler and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were also there.

"Your head was going every which way because you were like, 'Oh my gosh!'" said Claire Faulk. "When Will Ferrell showed up, it was like, 'c'mon am I dreaming?'"

Back in Pittsburgh, Joseph has the Ivy League Sound recording studio in Sewickley. Claire is in law school.

They were flown to L.A., and given the royal treatment, even driven around in a Rolls Royce!

When the Los Angeles Times wrote about the party, the reporter devoted two paragraphs to the Faulks.

"But two of our favorite folks at the party turned out to be a very, very not-famous couple from Pittsburgh by the name of Joseph and Claire Faulk whom we met by sheer happenstance," wrote the Times.

"With all these celebrities, why us?" asked Joseph Faulk. "This is crazy!"

They consider their brush with stardom a once in a lifetime opportunity.
