American Idol Semi-Finalist Excited To Perform At Santa Spectacular

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020) - He was a semifinalist on one of the most popular television shows in the county.

American Idol contestant Adam Brock, a Washington, Pa. native, talked to NewsRadio 1020 KDKA's Larry Richert and John Shumway the day of the Duquesne Light Santa Spectacular. He is the main stage entertainment attraction.

Brock says he is looking forward to getting the chance to perform in front of 100,000 people.

"I always love getting the change to come Downtown and sing," he says.

Brock says his journey on American Idol was a little surreal.

"Sometimes it feels like it was a dream sequence," he says.

He says it was a great chance to perform in different places and meet new people, but all in all it was a great experience.

He still has the same job that he had before he went to go to "Idol."

He does all the music at a local church in Houston, Pa. In addition to being married and having a child with another on the way, Brock says he travels around singing at different venues and records albums. Brock admits his life is hectic but he loves it.

"Life is very busy for me, but all good," he says.
