Police, FBI Investigating After Possible Pipe Bomb Found In Fayette Co.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after they found what's possible a pipe bomb under a woman's car Monday.

Around 8:30 a.m. the woman called police saying she believed she had found a pipe bomb under her car along West Crawford Avenue in Dunbar Township, Fayette County.

When police arrived on scene, they blocked off the road and evacuated nearby schools as a precaution.

Around 12:30 p.m. the Allegheny County Bomb Squad arrived and was able to retrieve and detonate the device, which they say was possibly a pipe bomb.

State police, the FBI and ATF are all investigating the incident.

No word on any suspects.

It appears no one was injured during the incident either.
