PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – With all signs pointing to Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley returning next year, safety Ryan Clark weighed in with his opinion on the defensive side of the ball and said Dick LeBeau should be brought back as well.

Clark told ESPN.com’s Scott Brown that the 76-year-old defensive coordinator is still very capable of running a top-tier defense:

“He’s still sharp, he’s able to make the calls and create the defense we need each and every week,” Clark said. “So when you have him like that, when you have the experience that he’s had, why would you kick him out of football? Why would you not want him in the building? So I think if he wants to come back, he will.”

LeBeau has made it clear he would be interested in returning in 2014.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin has not yet stated whether either of his coordinators will be retained, but according to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Haley’s job is safe.
