PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It’s a rare sight, but a beautiful one as the American side of Niagara Falls is frozen over.

A photograph taken Wednesday night of the frozen falls has gone viral.

Photographer Tim Williams took the photo, showing the frozen falls, with colored lights shining on it.

Since posting it on the CBS Pittsburgh Facebook page, it has been viewed more than three-million times.

It has also been shared on Facebook more than 50,000 times.

The Canadian side of the falls, or the horseshoe as many call it, is not frozen at this time.
