CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP (KDKA) –One woman was killed in a Friday afternoon accident in Butler County.

According to police, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on State Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.

A vehicle being driven by Belinda Gall, 38, of Harmony was traveling east in the area of Stephenson Road.

For an unknown reason, Gall’s vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and went off the road down an embankment. It then hit a tree and caught on fire.

Bystanders pulled Gall from the vehicle and she was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
