MLB Managers Finding Loopholes In Instant Replay

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Major League Baseball replay is just days old, but has already become a controversial new aspect of the game.

Here in Pittsburgh we've seen both the highs and lows of replay in the Pirates-Cubs opening series with fans still unsure of whether or not the right call was made.

The USA Today's Paul White took a look at another aspect of replay as well, the gamesmanship Manager's are using to manipulate the rules.

As White writes, Managers are learning to take their time when they approach the umpires to issue a challenge in order to give their reviewers more time to decide whether or not the play is truly worth a challenge.

With the length of replays becoming an issue, Manager's exploiting these loopholes will only serve to lengthen the time of games, a bone of contention with many casual fans.

As to whether or not the league will do anything about this or find solutions to some of the replay issues we've already seen, only time will tell.
