Efforts to save the Brownsville Drive-In movie theater are taking a big step forward.

The Brownsville Drive-In is the 10 drive-in theater to benefit from Honda’s Project Drive-In, which is helping the country make the costly change to digital production.

The drive-ins were chosen through online voting.

But, the pledge from Honda does not cover the full cost.

The theater is working to raise additional funds through the go-fund-me fundraising website.
