Dawn Keezer, Director of the Pittsburgh Film Office, was on the KDKA Afternoon News with Bill Rehkopf to talk about the upcoming tour.

“We are so excited about this,” Keezer said. “We have talked about it for almost 20 years now at the film office and thanks to the Pittsburgh Transportation Group, who finally gave us the tools to get this done, it’s finally happening. It’s going to kick off May 31 and we finally have enough films. We have always been making movies, since back in 1914, but with the success of the film tax credit, we have had a lot of real recognizable projects.”

Some of the sights you will see on the two-and-a-half-hour tour include places in Mt. Washington, the South Side, North Side and Station Square. It’ll pack in a lot of movies.

And if visiting famous movie filming locations isn’t what you’re looking for, the group also has some other tours throughout the city.

“They ( the Pittsburgh Transportation Group) are doing a lot of different tours this summer from what I understand,” Keezer said. “There is a food tour, there’s a beer tour, there is going to be lots of really fun things to do. The film tour, of course, will be the best one.”
