You Need To Eat This: When Pigs Fly

Primanti's has a new sandwich and it's pretty much everything you could ever want between two slices of bread.

Meat, cheese, coleslaw, tomatoes and French fries weren't enough, so Primanti's created the "When Pigs Fly" sandwich.

It's ham, turkey, bacon, egg and cheese with all the standard Primati's fixings on top – and it's wonderful.

The only thing wrong with it is that it's too big for any normal person's mouth, but that's really on you.

Today was the first day to get it, so I stopped by the Strip location and ordered one and had to spend a few moments of preparing to unhinge my jaw like a snake preparing to eat an antelope.

If you're a Primanti's fan (who isn't?), then you'll love it! It's not all that different from your usual Primanti's sandwich, which isn't a bad thing at all.

The bacon is what makes this sandwich. Not just because bacon makes all things better, but because bacon is much more flavorful than turkey and ham. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I've found the key to a good Primanti's sandwich is a flavorful meat. I always go with salami or capicola on mine.

That said, it's nice after you take a few bites and it all gets smashed together, to have the salty, crunchy bacon in each bite. And as with all Primanti's sandwiches, the sweet coleslaw is a nice contrast to the savory meat.

If you want to try this new beast of a sandwich, Primanti's is making it through Aug. 31.

So what do you think, is this sandwich too much or will you try it?
