JACKSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — One person has died following an accident this morning in Butler County.

The crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. on the northbound side of Perry Highway at the Interstate 79 on-ramp in Jackson Township.

The car crashed through a guardrail and then went about 350 feet down a hillside into a ravine.

The Butler County Coroner was called to the scene.

There’s no word yet on the victim’s identity, but she is reportedly from Cranberry Township.

A passerby called 911.
