Jeannette Woman Attacks Neighbors, Hits 1 With Lamp, Vacuum & Flower Pot
JEANNETTE (KDKA) -- A Westmoreland County woman is accused of going on a rampage earlier this month, attacking three women in her neighborhood and sending one to the hospital.
Jamie Lynn Boggs is accused of tearing through Jeannette on Sept. 10.
"She's crazy," says a neighbor.
In just 60 minutes, beginning after midnight on South Sixth Street, the 35-year-old Boggs allegedly went to an apartment, asked to use the bathroom, then punched the tenant in the head and kicked her.
The victim was left with a bump on her head, a swollen lip and a bloody nose.
An hour later, Boggs repeatedly rang the doorbell of a home on South Third Street.
She asked the woman who answered the door if she wanted to "be with" a guy named Thomas. When the woman said no, investigators say Boggs allegedly threw a drink and started strangling the woman.
According to the criminal complaint, Boggs also broke a ceramic lamp over the victim's head, struck her with a vacuum sweeper and with a plastic flower pot.
That woman went to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Boggs and the victims live near each other. A neighbor says the attack was personal.
"The reason she got beat up, she tried to sleep with everybody's man on the block," the neighbor said.
Officers eventually found Boggs in an alley where they were told about a dust-up with a third woman, throwing a beer bottle at her, after Boggs tried to bum a cigarette.
Boggs remains in the Westmoreland County Jail on a $25,000 bond and was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.
