MT. LEBANON (KDKA) – Students at one local school will notice an increased police presence at school this morning.
It’s because of a verbal threat that took place during a fight Thursday afternoon at Mt. Lebanon High School.
Officials say it’s mostly a precautionary, after two 16-year-olds fought an 18-year-old student.
After the threat was made, school officials quickly notified parents of what happened.
Principal Brian McFeeley said one 16-year-old was in his office, when he said he was “going to get a gun and take care of this.”
Mt. Lebanon police were called in and found that the student who made the threat did not have a weapon.
The student was suspended.
As a precaution, police were asked to have an increased presence in and around the campus for several days.
