PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers wide receiver Lance Moore joined The Fan Morning Show Friday to talk about his team’s Monday night matchup with the Titans approaches.

During the interview, Moore was asked why it took him so long to get worked into the Steelers’ offense this season.

Moore said he wasn’t sure.

“That is a great question,” Moore said. “I do not have an answer. I think it was probably just them just trying to get me more game-ready and prepared to be on the field as opposed to missing a couple weeks — with a groin injury — and then just throwing me in the fire, but I couldn’t give you the answer for that. That wasn’t communicated to me, so I guess you’d have to ask one of the more higher-ups that one.”

Moore said he understands that he wasn’t entitled to an explanation.

“This is the NFL- they don’t have to tell us anything,” Moore said. “It’s not their job to make sure the guys are happy and excited. Their job is to do whatever it takes to win football games, and for whatever reason early on they didn’t feel like I was quite ready to be back in the game as much, and thankfully so, I’ve worked my way back now.”
