The detours will go into place around 10 a.m. and run through the rest of the day and night.

If your heading to the New Year’s Eve festivities downtown, the Port Authority says kids under 12 can ride for free after 4 p.m. if they’re with an adult who is wearing a First Night button.

Then, on New Year’s Day, bus and T service will be running on holiday schedules.
