Friends, Family Continue Search For Missing South Side Man

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Friends and coworkers resumed their search Friday morning for a South Side man who has been missing for nearly three weeks.

The searchers returned to Wharton Street, near the South Side Giant Eagle, where video surveillance showed 22-year-old Paul Kochu walking on Dec. 16.

They went from door to door looking for clues. Some even walked across the 10th Street Bridge searching the shoreline and even up the steps leading to Duquesne University.

Kochu graduated from the Duquesne School of Nursing and worked in the emergency room at Allegheny General Hospital.

"I feel really bad for his family, this time of year, got to be tough – the weather, the cold is just tough," said coworker Cody Harry. "We're going to do everything we can."

"I'm going to keep looking for cameras, keep asking businesses to check," said Kochu's close friend Shannon Coulter. "I've been pretty successful, people checking so far. We're going to just keep looking for his things, just any little sign we can find basically."

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that can help locate Kochu.
