GoFundMe Account Set Up For Kevin Croney

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA)- Family and friends are remembering a tattoo artist from New Kensington.

Kevin Croney was shot and killed after an argument inside the True Image Tattoo Parlor.

Police arrested 44-year-old Christopher Patterson at the scene. He faces murder charges.

Some cancer survivors are remembering Croney and his work with his tattoo gun. Judy McCausland remembers Croney after he was recommended by her plastic surgeon.

"He was trying to find a tattoo artist to do nipple tattooing and he interviewed for months and then finally I got a call that he had hired Kevin," said McCausland.

She says he helped her cope with a life crisis in a positive way and was a nice man, doing good in the community.

A GoFundMe.com account has been set up for Kevin Croney's family. You can donate here: www.gofundme.com/KevinCroney.

The purpose of this initiative is to raise funds to immediately support his family and to ultimately create a scholarship for future and up and coming tattoo artists
