PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police in Canonsburg are investigating after an attempted luring last week.

Police say a 13-year-old boy was walking home from Canonsburg Middle School Thursday around 1 p.m. when a man in a truck allegedly tried to lure him to his vehicle.

Officials say the school was let out early that day and it was raining.

The man allegedly offered the boy a towel to dry off and something to eat.

The boy was able to get away when his brother picked him up, police say, but they are still looking for the man.

The suspect is described as a thin, white man in his 50s or 60s, with long hair. He was driving a small red truck with lots of rust and some black spots.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
