PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A SWAT situation in Shadyside has ended peacefully.

Police were called to a house on South Negley Avenue on Monday afternoon.

Emergency dispatchers said police were first called to the house around 2:23 p.m., but it’s unclear why.

A man was barricaded inside, reportedly threatening to harm himself and others, but eventually surrendered to police.

He was taken to a nearby hospital.
