OAKLAND (KDKA)- State police are conducting a full investigation into a pursuit that ended with a deadly crash in Oakland early Wednesday morning.

While approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled marijuana. At that time, the vehicle took off.
After a brief chase, the suspect got off at the Bates Street exit and hit another vehicle head-on.
The driver of the suspects’ vehicle died, but their name has not been released. Three others inside were injured.READ MORE: Westmoreland County Election Officials Ready For November
One person in the other vehicle was injured.
At least two people were taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
