Goodwill Launches Concierge Service For Halloween Season

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – If you're looking for a Halloween costume, the Goodwill is where you want to go.

Not only do they have a great selection, but at some stores they have someone who will help you put it together.

"We have a Halloween concierge service," said Store Manager Gretchen Peterson.

Peterson says the concierge is yours for the whole day.

Halloween is the biggest season for the Goodwill and they are going all out.

"So, every Saturday during the month of October, we are helping customers with costumes, sort of a DIY thing," said Peterson, "being as creative as possible. Pulling some of our donated pieces together with some of our new goods."

KDKA's Brenda Waters took a stroll down the costume aisle at the McKnight Road store with assistant store manager Mike Goettel. Goettel was dressed up "Dr. Who." He also happened to be Waters' concierge.

They came up with three possibilities: Angry Birds, a bumble bee and a gorilla.

"I think the bumble bee was the winner here," said Goettel.

You can take advantage of the concierge service at select Goodwill stores every Saturday in October from noon until 6 p.m.
