Local Gym Holds Christmas Party With Local Rescue Mission
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A local gym is giving back this holiday season.
CrossFit Steeltown teamed up with the Light of Life Rescue Mission in the North Side to hold a Christmas party for local families.
"We like to give back to the community," said Jennifer Zebo with CrossFit Steeltown. "We are a tight knit community as crossfitters, and we feel it's important to give back to the surrounding community."

Volunteers helped as children participated in activities such as pictures with Santa and relay races.
"This is the Saturday before Christmas, and people are out running errands and sending Christmas cards and doing all the last-minute stuff," said Kate Wadsworth, Light of Life's public relations manager, "but so many volunteers took time today to come and make a special party for these families, and it's going to be some wonderful memories for them to have, not just this holiday season, but from now on, they can look back and just remember what a great, special day this was."
