Report: New Netflix Series To Be Filmed In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A new series on Netflix will reportedly be filmed here in Pittsburgh.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, "Mindhunter" will be directed by David Fincher and reportedly star Charlize Theron.

Fincher is the executive producer of the hit Netflix series, "House of Cards." The fourth season of that show is expected to debut on March 4.

As for "Mindhunter," filming details have not been released.

In 1996, John Douglas and Mark Olshanker penned "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit," which the new Netflix series is based on.

Douglas served as a consultant on "The Silence of the Lambs" as well. The home of Buffalo Bill from the classic film is currently for sale in Fayette County.

Just last week, PETA released a statement saying they may want to turn the home into an empathy museum.
