Central Valley HS Volleyball Coach Accused Of Inappropriate Contact With Student

MONACA (KDKA) -- Center Township Police got word Wednesday afternoon, through the Central Valley High School Resource Office, that there had been inappropriate contact between a coach and a student.

The suspect coached the Girls Volleyball Team at Central Valley High School in Monaca.

The superintendent issued this statement:

"The district took immediate action to contact local police to investigate the matter. Parents of the volleyball players were called individually by district administrators to inform them of the allegation. We asked parents to speak to their children concerning the allegation. The coach is not a teacher in the Central Valley School District. After notification of the allegation, the volleyball coach was relieved of his duties."

Police aren't saying what was allegedly done and where. However in gathering evidence, Center Township Police Chief Barry Kramer did say search warrants have been issued to look at cell phone records.

"Until we have all of the evidence in, I don't want to present anything that was alleged to of happened or not until we can confirm or not," Kramer said.
