
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — It’s official, the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the New York Rangers in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The National Hockey League tweeted the news around 9:30 Sunday night.

This news comes following the Islanders’ loss to the Flyers.

This will be the third straight postseason in which the Penguins and Rangers will face off.
Pittsburgh finished the season with a record of 48-26-8. They will enter the postseason with Evgeni Malkin and Marc-André Fleury sidelined due to injury.
