Former Teacher's Aide Accused Of Inappropriate Contact With Student

NATRONA HEIGHTS (KDKA) -- A former teacher's aide in the Highlands School District is accused of having inappropriate contact with a student.

Scott Duell, 28, is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children, child porn and corruption of minors.

Authorites say a 16-year-old student had been "snapchatting" with Duell last November.

Investigators say the student sent Duell "approximately 20 photographs of herself," "in her underpants," "nude from the waist up."

Authorities say Duell would say things such as "we should get together, watch a movie, cuddle."

He also reportedly said if he "didn't work for the school, it would be easier."

Investigators say the two never had any meetings or physical contact.

Investigators found all of the photographs and communication between the two on Duell's cell phone.

He told police he met the girl while they were working together on a school musical.

The Highlands School District reportedly took swift action when they heard of the charges, and he is no longer employed.
