Woman Shot & Injured During Road Rage Incident, Suspect Sought

HANOVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a woman was shot and injured during a road rage incident in Washington County.

According to police, the incident happened on Route 22 around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Victims Rachel Lynn Chiodo and Aaron Robert Mossgrove of West Virginia were traveling east when they were cut off by a red SUV.

The driver of the SUV allegedly changed speeds multiple times over the next few miles and cut the victims off several more times.

As they approached the Bavington exit, the male driver of the SUV pulled out a gun and fired a single shot. The bullet went through the passenger side of the victim's vehicle and struck the female driver.

The woman suffered a minor injury as a result of the incident.

"She was extremely lucky that it only grazed her and she had some bruising," said Trooper Robin Mungo.

The suspect is described as being a heavyset white male with a beard.
