SHADYSIDE (KDKA) — Emergency crews quickly knocked out a fire in a Shadyside apartment building Saturday morning.

Firefighters were sent to the Cathedral Mansions in the 4700-block of Ellsworth Avenue around 9 a.m. for a report of a three-alarm fire.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fire was under control within 30 minutes. The fire was contained to one apartment on the ninth floor of the building, but other units did sustain minor smoke damage.

Everyone was evacuated from the building, and only one person was treated at the scene for light smoke inhalation. No other injuries have been reported. It is unknown how many residents will be displaced and for how long.

The cause of the fire is still unclear. Officials are investigating.
