PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that their uniforms are officially changing to a fan-favorite.

According to the Penguins, the popular “Pittsburgh Gold” will permanently replace the “Vegas Gold” for both home and away uniforms.

The Penguins have used “Pittsburgh Gold” on their alternate jerseys for the past two seasons. They also used it for every home game during the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The new road jerseys were unveiled in a video posted to Twitter.

The Penguins had used “Vegas Gold” from 2002-03 through 2015-16.
