HOMEWOOD (KDKA) — Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was fatally shot in Homewood early Saturday morning.

Police say officers were sent to the 800-block of Brushton Avenue around 4 a.m. for a report that a male victim had been shot multiple times.

When paramedics arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allegheny County coroner’s office identified the victim as 20-year-old Raekwon Epps. According to the coroner’s office, Epps did not live at the address where he was shot.

According to police, the shooting took place outside the building. They say Epps was sitting in a chair when he was approached by the shooter.

The investigation is ongoing.
