Police: Students Targeted In Blackmail Schemes Involving Sex Acts
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The University of Pittsburgh Police Department is warning students after a string of online blackmail incidents.
According to a Facebook post, male students have recently been contacted via social media websites and lured into conversations on Skype.
They are reportedly asked to perform sexual acts on camera. The scammers then contact the students, claiming to have video of the sexual act, and demand money.

They are told that the video will be sent to friends and family if they fail to pay up.
University of Pitt Police urge: "Once something is posted online, it is almost impossible to completely remove it."
