Parents Magazine Ranks Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium Among Best For Kids

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is being honored by Parents Magazine.

The publication has ranked our zoo here in Pittsburgh the fourth Best Zoo for Kids for a second time.

In their listing, Parents Magazine points to the Kids Kingdom, PPG Aquarium and Water's Edge exhibits as being both fun and educational for children.

In a statement, the Pittsburgh Zoo's President and CEO Dr. Barbara Baker says: "Parents Magazine's rating validates the work that we do every day to provide our visitors with a great family atmosphere as well as an opportunity to see and learn about animals. We designed Kids Kingdom to provide a balance between fun and learning and to spark a child's imagination through interactive exhibits. Today especially it is so important for kids to learn and enjoy nature and animals as so many species are facing uncertain futures."
