Gerrit Cole Done For Season
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Following his 2 innings of 4-hit baseball in which he surrendered 5 earned runs while walking 4, the Pirates have placed Gerrit Cole on the 60-day diasbled list.
That was Cole's first start back from the DL and obviously didn't show the Pirates enough to make them think it was worth running him out there for the rest of the season.
This has been a disappointing season for Cole who made just 21 starts this year, going on the disable list three times.
Cole's 3.88 ERA and 116 innings pitched are both the worst of his professional career.
