Steelers Release Photo Of Color Rush Uniform
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Steelers will be wearing a new uniform when they take the field on Christmas.
According to the Steelers' website, an all-black Color Rush uniform will be worn when they host the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 25.
It will be the first time the team has worn an all-black uniform.
On Tuesday, the team released a photo of what it will look like.
This year, Color Rush uniforms are being worn by NFL teams during Thursday Night Football games. But, the Steelers-Ravens game is one of two games on Christmas. As a result, the decision was made to wear the Color Rush uniform to mark the unique occasion.
"We haven't had a home game on Christmas in my memory," Steelers President Art Rooney II said in a statement. "It will be unique, special. This will add a little more excitement to what I am sure will be an exciting day."
Usually, a new jersey release is a dicey subject for fans. Just look at what Philadelphia Flyers fans are saying about their 50th anniversary jerseys.
Anyway, Steelers fans seem to be overwhelmingly pleased with the look of the Color Rush uniforms.
Those Steelers Color Rush Uniforms are ????????????! Probably going to pick up a Brown or Bell one!
