22-Year-Old Man Injured In Drive-By Shooting

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- A 22-year-old man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Homewood early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. in the 7000-block of Hamilton Avenue.

Police say officers responded to the shooting after a ShotSpotter notification. At the scene, officers found a 22-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

According to police, the victim was walking down the street when someone started shooting at him from a passing vehicle, which then drove inbound on Hamilton.

The victim was sent to UPMC Presbyterian. He is now in stable condition.

There is no description of the shooter or the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
