One Person Rescued, Many Animals Missing After Fire In McCandless

MCCANDLESS, Pa. (KDKA) – One person was taken to the hospital Sunday after heavy flames broke out in a McCandless home.
A fire broke out at a home tucked away on Park Edge Drive.
Neighbors were concerned about many dogs that lived at the home, they say there could be upwards of 20 animals there. The couple who lives at the home rescues strays.
Firefighters rescued several of the animals.
It took firefighters four hours to knock down all the hot spots.
