Pittsburgh Weather: Rainy Weather Pattern Moves Into Western Pa.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A wet, dreary set up will take us through Thursday evening into Friday.

As the low pressure that is providing energy to this disturbance slides closer, our winds will pick up. This is expected on Friday, with occasional wind gusts up to about 30 mph. These winds come with steady rainfall.

The cold front with this system will pass around lunch time. As it gets close, some rumbles of thunder will become possible.

After it passes the rain will become more "spotty" for the afternoon hours, and temperatures will fall off. These cooler temperatures are expected for the weekend.

High pressure takes over Friday evening and Saturday. This means drier weather is expected. It does not last long, though.

The next quick-hitting disturbance will bring showers Saturday night and early Sunday.

Temperatures warm back up next week, however, there are several chances for showers.
