Cleveland Man, 18, Pleads Not Guilty To Stabbing Siblings, Fatally Wounding Grandmother

CLEVELAND (AP) -- An 18-year-old has pleaded not guilty to fatally stabbing his grandmother and injuring three children in an attack at a Cleveland home.

A judge on Monday ordered that Jalen Plummer be held on a $2 million bond. Plummer pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder. Court records don't indicate whether he has an attorney.

Police say he entered the bedrooms of his sleeping siblings and cousin and stabbed them early Saturday.

Authorities say his 10-year-old sister, 12-year-old brother and 10-year-old cousin were stabbed multiple times and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police identified the woman killed as 62-year-old Diane Madison.

Cleveland media outlets say she is the mother of Michael Madison, a Cleveland man convicted of killing three women in 2013 and hiding their bodies in garbage bags.
