Local Representatives Co-Sponsor Bill To Help Police Obtain Mental Health Services

WASHINGTON D.C. (KDKA) -- President Trump signed a bill into law that will help police officers in need.

The "Supporting And Treating Officers in Crisis Act" will give over $7 million to law enforcement officials for mental health and support services.

Pennsylvania representatives Guy Reschenthaler and Madeline Dean were co-sponsors of the bill.

Leaders say the stress and trauma officers experience can be overwhelming.
