PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — More than 100,000 people were taken to hospitals in Pennsylvania last year for a mental health disorder.
That’s according to new research by the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council.
Researchers say that breaks down to about 312 hospital admissions per day.
The study shows people ages 18 to 44 were most likely to be admitted for depression followed by schizophrenia.
