PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Pirates have signed a free-agent infielder.

On Friday, the club announced the signing of infielder JT Riddle.

The 28-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Miami Marlins.

He played in 51 games last season, making seven starts at shortstop and 26 in centerfield.

He has appeared in 223 major league games in his career, hitting .229 with 18 home runs and 79 RBIs.
