U.S. Steel Laying Off Employees Across The Country
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- U.S. Steel is laying off some of its employees at facilities across the country.
The local union leader said non-union employees were laid off at the Clairton Coke Works, Edgar Thompson Works and Irvin Works plants.
No word on how many.
The company says the layoffs are part of its efforts to reorganize and restructure the company and better serve customers.
