Daniel, The Golden Retriever Who Shined At Westminster Show, Receives Proclamation From Westmoreland Co.

LIGONIER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A local golden retriever was recognized for his accomplishments.

Westmoreland County commissioners issued a proclamation Thursday for Daniel, from Ligonier, for helping put a spotlight on the township.

Daniel was named the Best Sporting Dog last month at the Westminster Kennel Club.

He is also the uncle of Zane, Pittsburgh Police's comfort dog.

Daniel will be the grand marshall for the Fort Ligonier Days parade in October.
