STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA) — Penn State University’s 46-hour dance marathon for charity will be a virtual event in 2021.

Usually, the Bryce Jordan Center is packed with thousands of students in mid-February.

Organizers have decided that wouldn’t be safe due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Students will still have an opportunity to fundraise.

Since 1976, the event has raised more than $180 million to help fight childhood cancer.
