Police Looking For Whoever Set House On Fire In Millvale

MILLVALE, Pa. (KDKA) -- Police are looking for whoever set the front of a house on fire in Millvale.

Officials say surveillance video shows someone spray-painting the house's front steps and throwing a brick at a window. The person then poured an accelerant on the house and set it on fire, police say.

Police say security cameras one block away were spray-painted minutes before the incident.

CRIME ALERT: The Millvale Police seek the publics help with identifying the actor or actor's involved in two incidents last night. At approximately 0419 hours, the Millvale Police along with the Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of North Ave for the front of a house on fire. Once units were on scene, investigators were informed by the residents that an unknown actor spray painted their front steps, threw a brick at the window attempting to break it, and then poured an accelerant on the front of the residence before lighting it and running off. Furthermore, the Millvale Police then took a report at a business in the 600 block of North Ave for reports that their security cameras had been spray painted over and other property had been tagged. After reviewing the businesses cameras, it appears this incident happened a few minutes before the arson attempt. A monetary reward has been offered for the arrest and or conviction of anyone involved. Thank you
