YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (KDKA) — The faculty union at Youngstown State University says it will go on strike Monday pending approval from its parent union.

Members overwhelmingly approved the move on Saturday. Monday is the first day of Youngstown State’s two-day fall break, which gives the sides time to negotiate.

Youngstown State says it plans to continue instruction on Wednesday if the strike continues.
